Ancorite Surface Protection has recently completed a substantial flooring contract at the Agrivert Cassington Anaerobic Digestion Facility, near Oxford.
The project was to repair the floor in the waste tipping and transfer area of the Cassington AD Plant. The floor is subject to erosion and mechanical damage through vehicle movement and contact with the food waste materials which are the feedstock for the AD Facility.
Ancorite’s work involved the preparation of the existing concrete slab, making good worn areas of concrete and applying a polyurethane screed to make up the levels and improve the falls to channels. A heavy-duty polyurethane floor finish was then trowel applied to the main floor. BASF Ucrete IF Iron armoured heavy-duty polyurethane floor finish was selected, due to its ability to withstand high impact and its chemical resistant properties. Coloured finishes were used for demarcation purposes with the main flooring in green and walkways in a yellow slip resistant finish. A heavy duty Ucrete RG render, suitable for wet or dry process environments, was trowel applied to form two dished channels.
Ancorite provided a small team of skilled craftsmen to carry out the work which was successfully completed in Autumn 2017.
