Ancorite Surface Protection Ltd has successfully completed the installation of complex GRE pipework for a Ballast Water System Upgrade on an oil tanker berthed at a dry dock in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The client was Pritchard-Gordon Tankers Ltd, based in West Sussex and Sunderland, whose activities include the delivery of fuel oil to the Caribbean islands.
Ancorite had a team of five men on site carrying out the pipework installation. The work commenced in mid-April 2018. Due to constraints on space within the vessel, the installation of the complex pipework system took place in a relatively small services area, in the pump room of the ship. Ancorite also assisted with the installation of the specialist instrumentation required to make the ballast water system complete.
The project was completed on time and within budget in early May 2018.
