Ancorite appoints Jon Lax as Contracts Manager for GRP & Plastics Pipework

Jon Lax has joined Ancorite as Contracts Manager, specialising in GRP and Plastics Pipework projects. With eighteen years’ experience in the sector, Jon is developing Ancorite’s GRP and Plastics Pipework business including the provision of pipework systems for new installations and repair and maintenance services.

Ancorite has supplied GRP pipework systems to the power industry for many years, with experience at Drax, Eggborough, Cottam and West Burton. Jon has wide experience of the power, petrochemicals, chemicals and water treatment sectors where he has managed major projects and repair and maintenance services. Jon will be based in the north east, operating from Ancorite’s Middlesbrough office with a UK wide remit.

Since Jon joined Ancorite, the company has successfully completed pipework installation projects at Port of Spain in Trinidad and Cargills Manchester. Ancorite is currently working on pipework systems at Intel Ireland, Johnson Matthey Royston and Ratcliffe Power Station. Ancorite’s installation team has been expanded with experienced installers joining to meet the increased workload.
