Ancorite completes work at Guinness Brewery, Cameroon

Ancorite Surface Protection Ltd has successfully completed another contract in Africa with the installation of specialist flooring for the Diageo Guinness Brewery at Douala, Cameroon.

Ancorite’s contract included the provision and application of screed, resin flooring and channels, with work taking place in the Yeast Plant, Brewhouse, Fridge Plant, DPV Tank Farm and other areas of the Brewery. Refurbishment works and new flooring were required for an area of approximately 2000 square metres.

BASF Ucrete was selected, to provide a dense and hygienic floor finish, appropriate for a beverage production area. Ucrete systems were also used for bunds and plinths which formed part of Ancorite’s contract. Ucrete is fast curing, and refurbishment work can generally be completed quickly.

The project commenced on site in Summer 2018 with completion in late 2018. Ancorite’s skilled installers from the UK were supported by a local team of Cameroonians.

Ancorite has previous experience with Diageo and has also supplied and installed specialist flooring for Diageo plants in the UK, Ireland, Kenya, Ethiopia and Ghana
