In 2019, the Ancorite team had the pleasure of undertaking a project for OBI Property through Main Contractor Spacescape Ltd in the iconic Daily Express Building on Great Ancoats Street in Manchester. Originally designed by Sir Owen Williams in 1939, this Grade II listed building required extensive restoration and refurbishment throughout.
Over the past 12 months, Ancorite worked tirelessly alongside Spacescape and Ben Adams Architects to complete the elegant redesign of this architecturally striking building.
A Bespoke Mondeco Resin Terrazzo flooring was installed by our team in the reception area and a terrazzo feature spiral staircase was installed to connect the lower ground floor with the ground floor. In addition to this, our specialist team applied Precast Terrazzo to the entrance steps for a grandiose finish.
