New Management Team

Ancorite Surface Protection Ltd have recently changed their Senior Management Structure as a result of the retirement of the M.D. Piers Bradbury at the end of April 2013.

Piers who commenced his career with Galliford in 1974 joined subsidiary company Ancorite in 1993 as a Project manager on the Ratcliffe Power Station FGD Project. He assumed the role of MD in 1997 when German company KCH Keramchemie took over the assets of Ancorite. Together with fellow Director, Neil McConnell, they managed the Business through several changes in control of the Parent Company in Germany until their successful MBO in 2007.

Since then Ancorite has continued with its business of providing a wide range of corrosion resistant services to many Clients in the UK, Eire and indeed throughout the world. Adaption, Innovation and Service have been their watchwords as the business and commercial environments have changed in the years since the MBO.

Neil McConnell has taken over the role as MD with Andy Cummings as Contracts Director and Alison Smith as Finance Director.

Neil, joined Ancorite in 1988 from the building industry as Northern Area Contracts Supervisor. Neil, progressed through the company in a variety of roles to his present position as Managing Director.

Andy, a qualified Quantity Surveyor joined Ancorite in 1993 from Tomlinson Building Contractors. He worked on the major FGD lining project at Drax Power Station for 2 years before being Contracts Manager.

Alison, qualified to the Chartered Institute of Accountants in April 2000 and since then has worked in construction firstly for the Mitie Group and then moving into the house building sector working for Carrwood Homes and David McLean  Homes before joining Ancorite in August 2008.
