Specialist flooring for Accord Fawdon

Ancorite Surface Protection Ltd has recently completed the application of specialist flooring at the Accord Healthcare facility at Fawdon, Newcastle. Accord are refurbishing the facility which was acquired from Sanofi in 2015.

Under a contract with Dariant Facilities Management, Ancorite worked in the Pallet Transfer Area to remove the existing floor finish, prepare the existing concrete slab and lay BASF Mastertop 1324 elastomeric polyurethane finish, over a scratch coat primer.

The Mastertop 1324 flooring system is durable, easy to maintain and has tolerance to a wide range of chemicals. It is suitable for laboratories and a range of applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Ancorite has previous experience at the Fawdon site and a small team of skilled installers applied the new flooring in late 2017.
